Kellogg is building its first North American cereal facility in 20 years in Belleville, Ontario.
Jungbunzlauer, the Swiss citric acid company built a plant to serve North and South America in Port Colborne, Ontario, beside a corn wet milling plant which supplies it with glucose. A great example of a strategic alliance.
Ferrero International, the Italian confectionary company in 2006 built an 900,000 square foot manufacturing plant in Brantford, Ontario to serve the NAFTA market. It is a state of the art facility employs about 600 people.
Blommer Chocolate, based in Chicago, purchased an existing confectionary plant in Campbellford, Ontario in 2006 and has converted it to make industrial chocolate products.

Quaker Oats made investments in its cereal plant in Peterborough, Ontario.
