Investment in Manufacturing

Investment in plants and equipment is expected to remain robust in 2006, fuelled by strong intentions in the booming oil and gas sector, and public utilities, according to a sample survey of 29,000 businesses, governments and institutions.

Foreign Direct Investment

In the 10 year period, 1997 to 2006, foreign direct investment in Canada has risen from C$219.4 billion to C$448.9 billion. Most of this investment (over 64 per cent) has come from the U.S., with European countries (including the U.K.) accounting for almost 29 per cent. More details & data
