The Business Immigration Section of the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade provides a wide variety of services to business immigrants both during the planning stages of immigration and after landing in Ontario.
Ontario welcomes business immigrants who possess a solid background in business, sufficient financial assets to establish themselves in Ontario, and a demonstrated enthusiasm for engaging in business after they land in the Province.

We will be pleased to provide you with information, referrals, and introductions to other organizations and individuals who can assist you in structuring your plans.
We highly recommend that you make an exploratory visit to Ontario as doing so will give you an opportunity to learn more about personal matters such as lifestyle, social conditions, education, health care and costs of living.
During your exploratory visit you may wish to attend one of our information seminars for prospective business immigrants. At these seminars you can learn about economic conditions in Ontario and the Section's services to business immigrants. If necessary, individual appointments can also be arranged.
After you immigrate, we can assist with questions concerning settlement and business establishment issues. We recommend that you attend a Doing Business in Ontario seminar where you will receive expert advice on business establishment issues and options. Entrepreneur category immigrants may be particularly interested in participating in our Passport to Business Success program, an initiative of the federal, provincial and municipal levels of government offering business counseling and networking opportunities.
